Oh, the gall!

When I was growing up in the 80's, there was some movement where teachers and church leaders would get a group of teens in a circle and make them each tell one unique thing about themselves. I must have played this game a dozen times. I cant say that I ever enjoyed this game, nor do I think that it helped me feel "unique" or "special" like the teachers thought it might.

I often think back to this game because of the stress that it caused and wonder what my children will say when their teachers, who have learned nothing over the last 30 years, ask them the same question.

Ellie will have it easy. "I was born without a gall bladder" she will say, and same stunned and curious noises that followed the boy who was born with his ears pierced will follow my Ellie's statement.

At the present time, however, it limits Ellie's doctors in the type of treatment she can get. She is being fed progestimil exclusively now at 4 cc's an hour in a continuous drip. The hyperal or TPN that she is being given is damaging her liver, or will if left on it long enough, so she needs to get her feedings up.

She looks cute as ever, despite being so sick.

You might try out the videos I have of her as well, they're pretty big though. Update - 4/6/6: Videos dont work, but I've found a solution that will. More on this later.
