Short Day
I went to see Ellie today after dropping Chad off at work. I'm just at the tail end of my cold, so I masked and gloved to go in and see her. Her arterial line fell out last night and the Doctor isn't planning on putting in another one right now. Ellie's nurse put little pink socks on her today, it was a great surprise. She almost looked like a regular baby...unless you count all the tubes and wires.
Ellie is now completely off the dopamine and her heart rate is staying steady. She is also on a lower dose of the milrinone. She looked nice and pink again today, but maybe it was just the glow off her bright pink socks. She is also up to 9 cc's of breastmilk. They're upping the amounts in feedings slower this time as she is still on the antibiotics and because they are trying to get more calories in her through the picc line so she can gain some weight. (She's at 5 lbs 2 oz as of last night).

I couldn't resist...She is growing into her head and looking more cute in every updated picture. What an expressive little face. I can't wait to see her in person.
