This is Spinal Tap
Our little Ellie had her first spinal tap, or lumbar puncture. The concern was that because she had a bacterial infection, it may have gotten into her spinal fluid and subsequently into her brain. This would cause meningitis. Before the tap she was looking very good, bright eyed and very responsive. Sorry, no pictures of this because my camera has bitten the dust. She's sleeping now and seems to have handled her brain fluid being drained very well. ;)

We're praying for you, too, Chad! I'm glad to hear Ellie Dawn is doing well and is getting so much love from your family.
Encouraging findings. I, too, hope she continues to build strength as she grows and hope for a positive outcome for you all.
