The "D" word

Guess what Phyllis brought up today? The word DISCHARGE. As in leaving the hospital. As in my jaw hit the floor.

Phyllis said that Ellie's doing so well that it's time to get the ball rolling on getting her home. She is coming in tomorrow (on her day off) to talk to the Attending Physician (Dr. King this time) and try to get a game plan in place. She wants them to set up a Care Meeting with everyone from the different places (Cardiology, GI, etc) and have a pow-wow on what needs to happen to get my baby home. WAHOOOOOO!

I have to warn you all though, visits will have to be very restriced for a while. I'll let you know more as we get more info. But from what I understand, no taking her to the store, to church, anywhere there are crowds of people. I have to keep her home and we all have to wash our hands before we touch her. I'm going to have to stock up on anti-bacterial hand sanitizer and probably take the entire summer off from piano lessons.

Sweet girl.

Here is a picture of the beautiful bow Phyllis put in Ellie's hair today. As you can see, she has the very same hairdo that Papa Don and Papa Wayne do.

Hi Phyllis!

Dreaming of beautiful butterflies.
