Cows are only holy in India and parts of Pakistan

Guess what everybody??????!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Ellie's heart function is in the normal range! (Insert your "holy cows" here) Her ejection fraction is 55% and her shortening fraction is 22%! Both of these numbers are on the low side of normal, but it still counts! This is the best her heart function has ever been. Dr. Tristani from Cardiology was VERY happy with these numbers and said that if Ellie's heart keeps in the normal range, she can go off one of her heart medications. WA HOOOOOO!!

They put in the nj tube today. This is the tube that bypasses the stomach and goes straight to her intestines. Hopefully this will help her reflux problem. They're going to leave the tube in for 2 weeks, then put her back on the regular feeding tube and see how she does. In the mean time, she can bottle feed as much as she wants to without the pressure of getting her to eat it all. She threw up 8 times yesterday. It came out to about 73 cc's which is almost 2 1/2 oz. She can't gain weight doing that and it's going to ruin her esophagas if it keeps up.

By the way, she is 7 lbs 7.2 oz tonight, for any and all who are interested. Sorry, no new pics tonight. I promise I'll remember the camera tomorrow.
