We're getting closer

I got to the hospital today and this is what I saw.

My Ellie is a big girl now! She's in a crib!!! Party at the Thompson bedspace!

They also took out her piccline today because they didn't need it anymore...she's on full feeds of 53 cc's! (She gets continous feeds through the night and PO feeds/ Bolus during the day) These are two HUGE steps toward getting her home. They are going to run liver tests tomorrow to see if they can solve the billi mystery. If they can figure it out, our girl will be coming home soon! Of course, she's got to quit upchucking so much...especially on the nurses. She nailed Jocelyn today (her other day primary nurse) so there was another changing of the scrubs.

Her heart is doing well on the carvetilol and the dijoxin. Cardiology seems pretty happy with how she's doing right now. We are counting our blessings.

Surprise!

I'm a happy, contented bugwatcher

Someday I am going home and then I will be mauled with love.

Tomorrow is Mother's Day, but this is the bib the nurse put on her. Go figure.
