The smell of heaven
I've got to tell you, nothing in this world smells better than a freshly bathed baby that is slathered in baby lotion. They smell just like heaven. The only bad part of it is when the mommy has to leave the sweet smelling cuddly baby at the hospital and drive home.
Of course, my hands still smell like baby lotion all the way home which just rubs salt in the wound. But it also makes me feel better, almost like some part of my Elizabeth is with me. I know, I'm weird. Just ask Chad.
On the positive side, she is weighing in at 7 lbs 8 1/2 oz. I personally think some of this is water retention, because she hasn't filled her diapers much today. Did I tell you she's 21 1/2 inches long???? For the curious out there, that's 4 inches of growth in 2 months. At least she doesn't look like a starving Ethiopian baby anymore. I'll try to remember to take a picture of her leg to compare with the chicken leg picture Chad took of her in March. It's an amazing difference.
Ellie's looking more yellow to me again today. She gets her billi count done again on Sunday, and if it's up again I hope they do that scan on her pituitary or something. I WANT TO BRING MY BABY HOME! (I know what you're all thinking. "Come on Teri, don't hold anything back, tell us how you really feel...")

I don't need a security blanket, I have a security piccline tube.

Hang on Teri....not much longer now. You need to get your back better so you can do what needs to be done. You're a Lewis woman, too! (It rubs off on deserving women like you)
She's awake quite a bit more now. Probably about a total of 8 hrs a day.
It makes it hard to leave her.
