Modesty is a virtue.
Oh, my baby girl is doing so well. She has clothes! I came in today and she had this cute little onesy on. Even more exciting, she pooped all over it later in the night by herself! We were thrilled.I made my little girl a promise soon after she was born. I said that if she didn't give me any messy diapers, I'd get her a car when she turned 16. She hasn't let me down yet, Teri had to change this one. ;)
So, we know the heart is doing better, and it seems the liver is doing its thing. She's up to 30 cc's every four hours. She gets mostly gavage (tube) feedings, but twice a day she gets a per os (bottle) feeding. She's still spitting up a bit, but so far, she takes her bottle feedings better, spitting up less or not at all. They've started weaning her from the TPN as a result.
Tell me, which would you choose on a Friday afternoon. Work? Or this....
I know that someday Ellie will give me grey hair, I'm sure that's a long way off however.Ellie's starting to act and look like a regular baby, look at that double chin.

Or this one. Yikes.
All in all, we couldn't be happier. We still have several milestones however. Ellie has got to get off the milranone and the TPN. She's got to move to a crib instead of a warmer. ( we may be closer to that now that she's wearing clothes. ) And she's got to gain some weight and breathe on her own.
