I am a happy Mommy today. Not only did I get to bottle feed my baby HOORAY! But she stayed awake and played like a regular healthy baby for about 20 minutes afterward. The physical therapist (Debbie) came by and coached me on bottle feeding Ellie, and then showed me things to do with her to build up her strength. Chad got to feed her tonight and he was happy about it too.

I talked to another cardiologist today. Her name is Dr. Everett. She told me that cardiology doesn't want to change anything with Ellie right now. She is showing more improvement, and they don't want to mess with that. They are going to keep her on the milrinone so she doesn't lose any ground that she has gained, and they just want her to keep growing and focus on her feedings to get her off the TPN line. Then they're hoping that will improve her liver function.

I forgot the camera today, so I'll just have to look up some pictures that we haven't posted yet. Ellie is having longer awake times, so I'll try to take a video of her tomorrow.
