Not Fuzzy Little Moonbeam ™ anymore

Its hard to get out the next few minutes, they were very difficult. The baby came out and they immediatly started cleaning her up and doing the things they do. Teri was clamering to see her and before I knew it they wisked her through the little window to the U's NICU. As the window shut I heard the nurse say "oh, she just started crying". That hit me particularly hard, I didnt hear her cry and still havent to this day. Teri was crying, sad because they had taken her baby away. As i leaned over to comfort her she said "Can we call her Elizabeth? Elizabeth means 'precious gift of God'". Of course we can call her Elizabeth.

About an hour later (an eternity in mom missing baby time) the Life Flight team came into the room with little Elizabeth on a 6 foot long 5 foot high cart. Teri got to hold Elizabeth's hand and see her a bit. They had intebated her almost immediatly upon being born because she wasnt breathing that well. And we started on my first trek into Primary Childrens.
