Aortic Stenosis

Our Fuzzy Little Moonbeam ™™ was diagnosed with Congenital Aortic Stenosis on Thursday March 2nd 2006 during a routine check up. Thank heavens for Dr. Healy and his doing an ultrasound at each visit. I should clarify that it wasn't Healy that diagnosed the stenosis, but it certainly got the ball rolling. What Healy found was that our Fuzzy Little Moonbeam's left ventricle was greatly enlarged.

I was at work on Thursday and Teri called me from her appointment. She was distressed. I did my best to calm her down and left work immediately. We met at McKay Dee Hospital and Teri was checked in to see Dr. Robert Andres a Perinatologist. We were checked in early in the afternoon, but didn't get to see Dr. Andres until 7-7:30. These hours were very stressful. We were told several things, luckily none of which took place. Firstly and probably most importantly, we were told that we were going to have the baby that day. We were told that it would probably be a C-Section and that our little one would need to be "Life-Flighted" to Primary Childrens Medical Center. In preparation for the delivery Teri was given steroids (Beta-Methazone) to help the baby's lungs develop. Probably the most frustrating thing however, was that we were dealing entirely with nurses that wouldn't /couldn't tell us ANYTHING.

Finally the Dr. showed up. He was looking haggard and sleep deprived and admitted as much to us. He immediately put the stop to ALL of the plans for delivery and ALL the talk about Life-Flight and started to lay down the facts. I'll admit that the way that he laid down the facts left a bit to be desired. He talked about Aortic Stenosis and EFE and Hypoplastic Left Heart Syndrome. I'm sure that he tried to explain it so that we would understand, but the only thing that we really digested was that we were not giving birth that day. Once we realized that Dr. Healy was not going to deliver the baby we tried to explain how our other deliveries went. His response to this was "I've delivered more babies than you have". This ticked me off to no end, but we'll have more on that later. We were sent home and tried to call everyone to tell them it was a false alarm.

This is going to be a great history. Ellie will like reading about her start in life. It was great to have Harrison and Alex at my house this weekend. They were so good and sweet and I still feel like I ran a marathon. It is so great that we have those wonderful health care professional to take care of things. There always seems to be an answer for every problem. I love you both....take care of yourselves too.

Chad and Teri, my thoughts are with you both. It sounds like you have the best care for Ellie that's possible. Thanks for creating this site. It helps to know what is being done so she can go home to her family. Ellie has two lucky parents, she is beautiful. Take care, Ster

I was diagnosed at the age of 24, I've had this since September 2019 and it runs my life until I came to know of Dr Itua herbal center- thankfully not as bad as it used to be after drinking dri itua herbal medicines for two weeks which really helped me now I've had no limit how much I do massively. I had two jobs, one full time and one part time, have my horse to care for and would also help friends with their horses. Have since had to accept that I only have one job (to take care of my health) and still care for my horse with help... Dr Itua also cures all sorts of chronic illness and diseases with his herbal medicine he can cure hiv, herpes,Lupus,Hpv,cancer, and other human body infections.
Visit his herbal website www.drituaherbalcenter.com or email drituaherbalcenter@gmail.com This is an illness I wouldn't wish on my enemy
